It sounds like you are in the "Sculpt" workspace instead of the "Model" workspace. If your design is a Direct Modeling design, you should be able to get back to Modeling through the dropdown:

I now have a different selection of options under modify, they begin with"edit form", in place of where the pushpull command was. Why is this. I stopped sketch, and this seemed to happen.

Thanks Jeff, and I noticed that and it works. I'm having another problem,
the exercise I'm following has me extrude the shape I've created, no problem
there, create sketch and place some circles, so they can be extruded (in a
negative direction) to create holes in the workpiece. When I'm in created
sketch I see the circles, but when I stop sketch, and see the extruded form
the circles are gone. Do you know how to see them again?

Hi @Anonymous,

I suspect that I know what is going on. When you use a sketch to create a feature, such as Extrude, it becomes invisible after being used. It's still there, just not visible. To see it again, just turn the visibility back on in the browser. Here is a screencast showing how:

Sometimes I can cut a hole, some times not. I just made a piece of material
.5 thick, by about 4x4". I placed a circle in the middle. I stopped the
sketch. I can see my piece of work, as I extruded the block to the .5
thickness. But the circle is gone. I keep hitting different buttons, and
by some miracle I can see the circle. But then it extrudes a cylinder
rather than creating a hole. For some reason at times I see in the dialog
box, the command cut, which seems to produce a hole, but not always. I
think I'm doing something wrong. I've been on the same tutorial, an 18
minute video, for at least a couple of hours. Not sure I'm seeing
everything I'm supposed to see. This stuff is a piece of cake in sketchup,
but not so easy in
Fusion. Sketch does not have the accuracy or, of course, the CAM
capability. I feel lost and am getting very discouraged. I appreciate your
help, but not sure I've got the brains for this.

Richard Stimler, owner

Four Corners Cabinetry

P.O.
