Split body of t spline body

I have a simple box body created from t spline surfaces, I have converted it into a body and kept some edges. I want to be able to split it in the center and at the edges that I have kept. I cant seem to create an offset plane, is there another way to split this body?

After I split the body I also want to shell the new bodies with a 2mm shell, would I just do this the same way as a primitive body?

You should be able to create a workplane offset from one of the Origin workplanes -

simply use a Sketch line.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach the file to a Reply here?
