Angled circular bottom

Hello.

I have created a seat for a spring to sit in, the bottom needs to be angled. Revolving a circular surface does not work, but it is that type of change I need, in degrees. Model and a crude idea of what needs to happen to the bottom is attached, hope it helps to understand what I mean.

I think you need to clarify your need a bit better. The picture does not seem to match your model attempt. Do you want to be able to place your spring on a surface and the spring sit upright?

If so, create a sketch on the XY plane.

Project the end of the coil to the sketch.

Draw vertical lines tangent to the projected circle.

Draw a horizontal line to close the boundary.

Sweep the profile using the coil as the path:

p.s. Create the coil as a new component (or body) instead of cutting it from the main body.

I want to place my spring in the seat but the spring being at an angle. Like in @etfrench first image below, I do not know if this is the right description, but the bottom part needs to be extruded but at an angle, if that makes sense.

When the spring is in the seat and I put it on a surface, it will stand right up. I need the bottom part to be at an angle, much like your first image. Extruding at an angle, like having a bend in a pipe.

Put a spring (coil) in the file at the angle you need, then attach the file to the thread.

One method:

Create plane at desired angle:

Project the base to the sketch:

Create a sketch on the bottom of base and project the diameter to the sketch. Loft between the two sketches.

Thank you for your reply. I am not a Fusion wizard yet, so bear with me. How do you connect the middle of the plane to the edge (middle) of the model as in your first picture?

Create a sketch on the XY plane.

Project the base to the sketch. (Projection Link checked)

Draw a line from the bottom rightmost point of the projected lines.

Dimension it to the desired angle. Give it a length dimension as well. The actual length isn't important, but it will keep the sketch fully constrained.

Create a Plane at Angle using the line.

Hi! I am sorry if I misunderstood the request. The issue is regarding the bottom circular face. It as to be at an angle to the cylinder's center axis. Use Move and Copy command to rotate the bottom face. It should be doable.

Hi. Thank you for the instructions, I believe I followed them correctly. An image of where I am at the moment is attached, it does not seem to be possible to project the base, just get a line across the base.

Verify your sketch is on the XY plane.

The angled line needs to be drawn from the end of the projected line (Assuming that is where you want the low point)..

The method recommended by @johnsonshiue will also work and it's parametric, so it will be easy to modify in the future.
