Is there anyway to preview a render in Fusion 360 before you pull the trigger? I have to keep re-rendering things to get the zoom right. I set the home position and it looks fine, but when I render the part it looks like its far off in the distance. then i zoom up some and render again, then have to delete the render I didn't like. Seems like there would be an easier way.

I'm sorry, I did a horrible job of explaining this. Its after I render it and save it to a .jpeg, its not centered up there. To get the full image on the page, I have to zoom my model way up to the point I can see it all. I then render it and see what the .jpg looks like. It then gets off center on the page, i shift it one way or another (guessing) and render it again.I have to do this a few times before I get it right.

I attached a screenshot of a render, then the jpg/png file. I want to fill up the page more on the pic, and I cant seem to figure it out other than scrolling up the model and re-render. The bookcase is to small on the pic. Seems like there would be a better way.

I have the render settings to "print" "8.5 x 11" 8.4 megapixel.

Reply

i have the same issue. in order to get my rendered picture zoomed and centered properly, i have to use trial and error i.e., get it where i think it needs to be on the screen, render, then readjust and hope it is right.

Hello all!

I have the same issue from the beginning and as I render more in the last time it would be an improvement to have the render image borders visible in the preview window, as it is in programs like 3ds max or similar. This especially applies when you render portrait images.

Thanks for your attention and listening.

Best regards,

andreas

You have to have your scene settings and render settings set the same to get the in canvas and rendered images to have the same size and relative position in the frame-
