&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It's hard to say for sure without the model itself (if you want to share it, that would help), but offhand, my guess is that there is some relationship (some reference to its parent component, for instance), that is blocking the component restructure. &amp;nbsp;You can't always do arbitrary restructure operations.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Help with component tree</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;So I have a component, nested inside a component, nested inside another component (see screenshot).&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How do I remove the child component from its parent and let him live on his own? &amp;nbsp;I tried to drag it out....but it kept going back to the nested relationship. &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
