I haven't used 360 for a while. I was told that and update was made to enable text on a cylinder for CNC engraving. I tried to put text on a cylinder for engraving but was unsuccessful. The text need to follow the radius of the cylinder so constant depth can be achieved.

Can anyone help me with this issue.

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous,

The "Wrapped Toolpath" option on a 2D Contour operation should allow you to wrap the toolpath around a cylinder when engraving text. This option, however, is only available in Fusion 360 Ultimate.

I have illustrated how to set up this toolpath in the screencast below - please let me know if you have any questions!

Hi @Anonymous

I was looking at this post today and realized you may have been referring to how to actually model the text off the curved face, rather than how to set up the CAM operations for engraving. I have shown how to model text into a curved face in the screencast below:

Paul

Where are you getting the wrap function for the CAM side. I watched the tutorial and when I tried a test piece my F360 does not have the wrap function option. What am I missing ??

Hi @Anonymous

The wrap function is only available in the Ultimate version of Fusion 360 for the 2D Adaptive, 2D Pocket, and 2D Contour toolpaths. Do you have Fusion 360 Ultimate or the basic version?
