Well, the point is to do it without distance measurements. I want the slots to be between the motor and the rightmost set of slots. No matter where the motor and the rightmost set of slots end up, I want the middle set of slots in the middle.

Duplicating sketch with constraints

I'm trying to duplicate the following selected sketch geometry three more times. It's not working, though. At first I tried patterning it (after deleting the other three slots), but you can't then change how each group is positioned (it has to match the regular spacing of the pattern).

So I tried copying and pasting. This kinda works. But I can't seem to re-constrain the newly-pasted groups correctly. In the image below, everything is constrained to the centerline. The outer two slots are constrained to be 60 mm from the ends. The inner two slots have their center point coincident with a point on the midline of each line (from the center of the part to each outer slot).

If I try re-applying that constraint, it usually moves the line out to the right, moving the selected slot, even though that's already constrained. It also doesn't seem to keep the upper and lower slots aligned, even though they have horizontal constraints.

I want to repeat the three-slot (one wide and two narrow) three more times, but I want to keep the parametric sizing and spacing adjustable. Is this possible? Thanks.

.f3d file attached.

That sketch is part of a component, which is part of an assembly that will eventually be a pizza box-shaped robot. You should be able to see more stuff in the full file. That component is a 10 mm thick plate, about 600 mm long and 80 mm wide, with holes and slots cut into it.

Okay, all you have to do, is to dimension, constrain and position the sketches where you want them to be on one side, Extrude them and then use the mirror or pattern Feature (not the sketches!).

That helps, partly. But I'm still having trouble just copying and pasting the original to the second location; it seems to lose constraints.

Thanks for that. I get the mirroring, that'll work for me. But the problem with the patterning is that it requires me to specify the distance, rather than set it up as a constraint. The distance between the motor shaft and the adjacent set of slots is supposed to be exactly half the distance between the motor shaft and the rightmost slot. I don't see any way of doing that without copying & pasting the pattern in sketch, and using either dimensions, or a line and making the slot coincident with the midpoint of the line.

I ended up making more User Parameters, and using those with a combination of sketch patterning and mirroring.
