I am not sure i'd use a Form object for this, but I don't know what your final form is going to be. A solid loft and maybe a split body operation would make precise and short work of this.

There are several ways to accomplish this.

Ahh, forget that. Flatten to plane should get you there.

The fill hole tool makes quick but dirty work as it can create triangles. triangles are evil!

Better fill holes manually

I'm working on a design in the sculpt workspace which I've never been very good at. I have what I think is a relatively simple problem.

I have an organic shaped incline plane, the sole of a high heel shoe. I'd like to be able to project that plane down to a surface to make a wedge shape.

So far, I've been able to do this by taking a cylinder and matching it to the sole plane, bridging them together and then use fill hole to close the bottom edge. That's an awful lot of work to do when I should be able to project the outline of the incline plane to the XY plane and then edit from there.

Is this possible or am I already doing the best method here?

Thanks!

If you can share your design that usually spends up things.

I've uploaded the file that shows what I was trying to do. It is crude and ureffined but good enough for example purposes.

I've got three objects. The first is just the shoe sole plane.

The second shows a rough outline of the sole as a projection would look. In a perfect world, I would have made the vertices all match perfectly.

The final shows my approximation of what I'm trying to do by using the bridge function.
