Measure going parallel to infinity

So I have been trying to measure a distance between two parallel surfaces, which has never been a problem before. However, every single time I have tried that in this construction (which I made same as I always do) draws a couple of parallel lines, one from each end of the separation and just goes to infinity and, obviously, it measures nothing of use. So... Whats up with that? I tried making components out of the bodies and still the same thing

In your image it shows a 1° angle between the 2 faces so they're not parallel or am I missing something?

Hey Mark. It does show a 1° between both, however they were both extruded from sketches on the XY plane and have not been moved in any angular fashion, thus there would be no reason for them to form a angle.

If the 2 face are at an angle you can select a point on each face then select XYZ delta to get the distance between the 2 points, this only works if the faces are aligned to the document planes. Another option is select one face and one edge.

If that's the case it would be a bug. Can you share the design here, if not you'll need to share it with someone from support. Have you double checked the sketch, have the parts been moved and any chance one's been rotated by mistake?
