topic How to orient the Edit Face Command? in Fusion Design, Validate & Document Forum

Hi all,

Experimenting with the sculpt options. I ran across some board posts on how to use the Edit Face command to replace a face with a T-spline on a standard solid body that you can edit. Great! That's what I'd like to do!

Well, I'm trying to edit a curved face, that's shaped a bit like a hilltop (See attached). I'd like to edit it so that way the hill top is symmetric around the "Peak", but the edit face options auto orient the guidelines at roughly a 45 degree angle the wrong way (Again, see attached).

I'm not sure how to get the guide lines where I'd like them. From there, it feels like what I want to do should be a simple "Pull" command for the most part.

Thanks,

-Alex

Have you considered using the replace face command instead of the edit face command? Using this workflow, you could create a sculpt body (Plane). Convert the sculpt body into a surface and then use the replace face command.

It might be an alternate solution that could work for you.
