Sluggish mouse while in sketch

Hi Guys,

Since the last update or so I've been having this problem where my mouse gets as sluggish as it gets while drawing anything in a sketch. The weird thing is that there isn't any strain on the CPU or GPU while this happens

Is there any known fix for this as this is a game breaking experience and the software is rendered useless.

I also made a screencast. The first line was put in by me, it already moves very slow there, but then I didn't touch my mouse anymore and it started doing lots of weird stuff. This only happens in fusion.

As a test I also did the reinstall via the provided tool, but that didn't help.

I tried turning on the option in the graphics diagnostic menu and that didn't help either.

This way Fusion is unusable and I hope someone has a solution to this.

similar here

right click on empty space and it takes ages for menu to appear.

similar behaviour to yours elsewhere, but not all the time. just sometimes

I tried to open your design and I haven't seen any performance issue.

What is specification of your computer? Do you have a dual graphic?

I'm running the following:

Core I7-4790k

AMD HD7950 @3440x1440

8GB RAM

So that should be sufficient enough to run fusion.

The weird thing is also that it started after the last update and happens on all models. It also happens when I haven't opened anything and start with a new model and sketch. But the performance drop is only in the sketch, extrudes and such work fine.

Well I'm unsure if we're talking about the same performance issues as I can't really see from the screencast what the problem is but I'm seeing this bad performance in Sketch and somehow in Fusion360 generally since the beginning of times. This was often talked about in the past and I didn't bring this up every single time but Fusion360 definitely is behind in performance compared to other performance intensive applications (graphic design etc.). For example the context menu always opens about half a second to a second after the click for me. Floating over the menu items always lags (the highlighted item appears when i'm already hovering the next one).

This is something that doesn't keep you from working with Fusion but it is extremely annoying. For me this is happening on Mac OSX (currently 10.12.3) and currently on a quite good powered Hackintosh (i7-6700k, 32GB Ram, Nvidia GTX960) but it already happened in the past on my iMac.

I think this relates to the application platform that fusion360 is running on. The whole UI isn't as performant as native Mac OS apps are. For example AutoCAD is using native context menus which are much faster while the rest of the AutoCAD UI is comparably slow and laggy.

If I can be of any help tracking down problems let me know (I already offered that in the distant past) but I doubt this is related to my computer as it is somehow equally happening on my old iMac still (that is running in my shop).

I am sorry but the fix won't be ready for the upcoming update because it's too close to the release but I hope that it will fixed in the another release asap.

I have found the problem!

Apparently, the software for my monitor caused this sluggish movement.

So if you're experiencing this issue and you're using LG's OnScreen control software package, turn it off and that should help.

I recently encountered this problem again and found that there was another software that was the culprit of causing this issue . Corsair's iCUE software ( for my headset but used for other hardware as well) was causing a huge amount of sluggishness. closing that program solved the issue for me .
