I have say a cylinder solid.

I'd like to copy the end circle (or any other solid's seam) and put it in a sketch.

Is that possible? How?

Use the Include 3d geometry function that can be found under the sketch - project/include menu.

After selecting the tool click on the cylinder surface and then on the edge that you want and then right click and choose ok, after that select the curve and select Break Link under right click menu.

I suggest it because people who are unfamiliar with the tool need to know about the function as it is not that obvious, once they know about it they can choose not to break the link if desired.
