I did that, but I can't get it to actually simulate the fit now. It says I needed a load, so I put a small one on the part but it doesn't actually simulate the interference, only the load. Thanks!

Hi,

I need to simulate the stresses on an interference (press) fit between a rod and a bushing. I am completely unable to pull up a static stress test on my computer to simulate this.

It is a fairly simple setup involving a pin inside a bushing, where the interference is .0001"

I have attached screenshots of what I get on my computer to help describe the issue.

Thanks!

Even though the Studies panel is not displaying properly - I think if you select the first little square and select OK, that it should enter the Static Stress environment.

Did you define the Contacts?

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Oops, I was thinking Fusion Contacts options were the same as Inventor Contacts options.

I don't know how to do interference fits in Fusion.

Do you have access to Inventor or Nastran-InCAD?

Through a lot of searching I don't think you can simulate interference fits in fusion 360, I thought I'd post here to see if anyone knew more. I have access to inventor, but I need to re-download it. Thanks!
