Out of square

Hello! Hoping someone can shed some light on this issue I can't figure out. I'm essentially modelling a skewed cuboid that has a couple of other angled faces (one of them is sloped on two axis) but however I model it, a couple of the [supposed to be] 90 degree angles are out of square.

I tried drawing perpendicular sketches and experience the same issue. The attached screenshot shows that even though the sketches were made directly on the origin planes in 2D, I have an angle of 90.9 degrees on one side. The opposing side is 90 degrees as expected.

Are you saying you can’t edit the dimension to be 90.0?

Essentially, yes. I can add an angle dimension between the two sketches but I get an error message giving me the option to use a driven dimension, which reverts to the non 90 degree angle. How can 2d sketches on perpendicular planes not be square to each other?

You measure a spatial angle.

not all geometry in Sketch16 is on the sketch plane. I don't know how it got that way, but the top line of the skewed rectangle is slightly off the plane. You can tell if you Measure the angle between the sketch profile and the origin plane:

You can also tell by editing Sketch16 and selecting that top line, and right clicking. The "Move to Sketch Plane" menu item only appears if the selected item is not on the sketch plane:

executing that item will move the line to the sketch plane, and then measure will show the correct value:

This point is not on the plane.

It seems this is a 3D sketch.

Is it simply a cube with two faces moved by rotating along one or more edges?

One possibility for the sketch to be like this is moving it

as@jeff_strater mentioned, use move to sketch plane

Thank you for taking the time to look at this. I'm not getting the same as you, though (see screenshots). I don't get the option to Move to Sketch Plane and when I measure between the misbehaving line and the world space, it shows 90 degrees, yet still showing 90.9 measuring between the perpendicular line of Sketch 1.

Thank you for taking the time to look at this. I don't get the same measurement as you though. The angle still measures at 90.9 degrees but the point shows it is as Y0.

The only difference is that I am looking at the file that is stored on the cloud and you have an exported file that was saved to my desktop. I'll load the local one and see if I get the same measurement as you. 👍

(I'm suffering a bit of vertigo at the moment so being at the computer is a bit of an effort)

Ok, I loaded the local file, and it did show the point was not zero on Y, and the option to move to sketch plane was available. I did this and the point was repositioned at Y0 - but I still measure 90.9 degrees to Sketch 1.

Although I have reassigned the vertical sketch to the plane with "Redifine Sketch Plane", nothing has improved. The sketch is bent. There schould be a command like flatten.
The sketch is still at an angle.
Everything is OK with the new sketch.

... two points are out of the sketch plane. Put them in order ... by R-clicking the upper edge if the trapezoid and move to sketch plane.

I've started with a new file and I'm still getting the same issue. Also, can somebody explain to me why the last sketch is offset even though I placed the points over the other sketch points? I apologize if this is tedious.

The "Plane at angle" ist not set to 90°

Can you tell us what you want to achieve?
It looks to me as if you are choosing the wrong method.
For a simple body, you usually only need a sketch.

If you want this, you need two sketches and make a loft.
