Loft problem with rails

Self taught but don't have a very good teacher. Having a problem with loft. Object is like a ski pole handle. I have sketches at both ends and used splines to show the two side profiles. {profiles are different) I can loft between the two sketches and add one of the rails but when I add the second rail it distorts the rails. I can do either rail by itself and the profile is what I want but as soon as the second one is added it distorts. Tried many combinations but nothing works. Would appreciate any help. Can attach my project but do not know how.

I would strongly recommend that you do the embedded tutorials in the Fusion Documentation and also some of the

Self-Paced Learning to help you to learn fusion faster and better. They can be found here:

It is also much easier for the forum to help you if you attach your file AND a screenshot of what you want to achieve

and what the problem is. You can create a file to export like this:

Time spent on the tutorials and self paced learning will not be wasted. Also check out the three RULES that are pinned

to the forum for further guidance.

Thks for the reply. If only 1 rail is opened the profile is ok. Either side profile is correct if only one rail is opened, although the center edge is distorted. When the second rail is opened both sides of the object are distorted. Don't know if I am asking something that cannot be done or if there is a step I am missing.

Seems like I have seen this somewhere before. Are you trying to follow a Tutorial?

I would expect the first sketch to look something like this.

Use Horizontal Constraint, 2 more Tangent Constraints and Equal Constraints.

In you second sketch you are missing a Coincident Constraint between the Origin and the Construction Line.

I don't know about those rails - not how I would do it.

Made the changes and loft had same result. Could you recommend another way to do this? Thks Dave

you're asking an awful lot from a single loft. most likely this needs to be broken down into several different surfaces. do you have reference pics of the object your trying to make?

Q2. Where are you getting the details for how you are attempting to model the geometry?

Found a tutorial but only used it as an idea. An existing part that I have was used as a guide.. There are no drawings to follow so it is freehand. I also tried making it in two lofts by splitting it down the middle lengthwise. This time the outer profile was not distorted but the opposit the side where it was split was distorted so they couldn' be joined together.. Might be because I did not have proper restraints. This is an area I have trouble with.

Finally got it to work. Not sure why but had to change a couple of dimensions then added the constraints as

you suggested and this time it worked. Thank you very much for your help.

I do not expect you to experience good results going down the path that you started.
