Is there any way to change your line weights on the drawings that export out of fusion?

These fat lines on my PDFs are killing me. Especially on any drawings with bar grating. It just turns into a black smudge.

I'd much rather have thin lines for everything than fat lines on anything...

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

I am sorry for the inconvenience you have to face. Unfortunately, currently there is no way in which you can change line weight, but changing line type and weight is something we are currently focusing on. Hopefully in near future you shall be able to do that with you drawing.

It would be great if you can share with us the drawing you are having problems with. It will give us more understanding of specific problem you are facing.

Best Regards,

Here's an example. I've modeled the bar grating on these stair sets I've drawn up.

Even at my previous job when I was using Inventor I'd remove line weights off of any drawings I printed out or exported as PDFs. That would allow me to use just regular 8 1/2 x 11" paper and not loose any detail on my drawings. This seems silly that you're adding in line weights, which has to be coded in, without any way for the user to change that.

If you save as DWG one option is, download DWG Trueview and disable line weights on the print dialog. I tried this but some lines were so thin the looked grey so I'm not sure if it'll be any good for you. Another thing you could try is use Trueview to convert the file to a 2010 format, then use Draftsight to open and print.

This would be so much easier if we could save a DXF file we could open in any old free cad program.

I read in another post you can edit the line weights in Trueview from the layer dialog. You can't save the settings so you'll have to edit each drawing.
