Editing unit type in user parameters

I am working on a design that includes a lot of similar boxes and I am using the user parameter feature to define the values "BoxLen", BoxWidth". Originally when I created the parameters I set the units up in inches, but now I need to change them to millimeters. I can edit the parameter name and the value but not the units. Am I missing something? How can I edit the units?

~~Just enter the expression in millimeters. Fusion 360 will automatically convert between units. It does make the values look strange in the parameters dialog though.~~

Better way would be to use the Import/Export Parameter App: https://apps.autodesk.com/FUSION/en/Detail/Index?id=1801418194626000805&appLang=en&os=Win64

After exporting the parameters, you can edit the units field in the csv file and then import back into Fusion 360.

Thanks for your note. I did find in trying to work through the problem that I could just enter the value in mm and it would work. The fact that you cannot edit the unit type in a user parameter strikes me as strange. I will take a look at the app you suggested. That looks useful for some of my other stuff as well.

This did not work for me.

Specifically, I exported all parameters, changed one from 'mm' to 'in' in the CSV file and re-imported the modified CSV file. The parameter remained 'stuck' in 'mm' and wasn't updated to 'in'.

Am I missing something?

Well, it has been 5 years since the first post😄 It looks like the only way now to change units is to delete the parameter. If the parameter is in use, you can't delete it. In that case, you will probably need to create a new parameter, then replace the old with the new in all of the places it was used.

I ask myself this question again and again, as do many users.
Especially with more complex equations, the work is made much more difficult if you have to delete and recreate the parameter.

There is no ongoing project to address this request. Perfectly valid request, but the priority is not currently very high as compared to all the other things that need to be addressed.
