An hour ago I left my design open in fusion, went to eat.

Cam back to this error message:

"Warning: This design contains Removed components which did not update. To complete the update, roll the history marker to before the earliest Remove feature and click the Get All Latest button

1 Component is still out of date.
Please run the Get All Latest command again."

Running "get all latest" does nothing. Undo does not remove the error. No one else is here, so it must have been the wind.

Google search for the error returned nothing.

Please: What do I do?

The same problem came up and I found the solution as follows. Digg all off designs, And search if there's anything like it. Something after roll history marker or suppressed compoment/feature/etc. My problem was resolved in this way. I guess I've been looking for it for three hours.

Roll the design back to the point in time right before the components were removed and then update the components.

I always found this warning to be somewhat silly. It is not unusual to use geometry from other components as a reference but not needing the actual component in the design. It also breaks withe overall concept of the timeline, because obviously at some point in time the component were needed, so why would one not want for them to update ?

I have an item that I deleted, and if I roll back before that - then what? There is no "non-updated-parts" and how should I see that and update them? Rather confusing

I don't know if there's any real-world use case where one would not want embedded reference components to update. All I know is that if you have a complex assembly, you can not include subcomponents in other subcomponents for position and then Remove them and still expect to get any work done. If you do that, every time you update any subcomponent, you'll waste money ( which = time, as everyone knows) scouring your assembly's subcomponents to revert to the pre-Remove state, update, update all the parent components, etc etc etc. I've stopped including subcomponents in other subcomponents for reference because of this 'message'. Now I always use absolute coordinates to position my subcomponents in 3D space rather than positioning relative to other inserted subcomponents. It's a PITA but at least I don't see that ugly message anymore. IMO Remove is more trouble than it is worth. My $0.02 cents...

For me it was looking on the history for the "Component insert" steps and the "remove Instance" steps.

If that doesn't work, this is the method I used to find my problem in a moderatly complex model: I exported all components into their own files in order to narrow the problem down to one component with a few steps. Then I just went back one step at time, like it says.

After all this, I hit the cached geometry warning which I solved by entering "Fusion.CleanDanglingJointOrigins" in the text commands, and the doing a "compute all". I found this on another forum post, but I can't find the link anymore.

I also agree with everyone else on their complaints. How art is it to just say what components need updating?!

Today I run into the same problem and tried above timeline approaches without any luck. None of the timeline positions worked. I really tried all of them.

What coincidentaly helped was to open the file on another computer. On that one I could update the component. No idea why, but maybe it well help you as well.

I had this problem today, but was able to solve it. Thanks @iSuat.

I had a linked sub-assembly in my assembly that couldn't be updated for the same reason ("removed components" warning). I backtracked and found that I had an outdated, inserted component within the sub-assembly's original design file. To fix I opened the file for the linked sub-assembly, rolled the history marker back to each of the remove functions and insert component functions and tried to update again within the sub-assembly design page. Eventually it worked! I saved the design and then updated the larger assembly.

TLDR: Check inside your linked design files too, the problematic remove function might be there. Hope this helps!
