Thanks @Mike.Grau and @PhilProcarioJr for the responses. I didn't realize when you are editing/deleting a feature like chamfer, all of the connected chamfer features may need to be selected as well. As I was only selecting one of the chamfer faces, deleting the chamfer was failing. The main reason for reporting the issue was the chamfer operation behaved differently for the original body compared to the mirrored body.

I changed the bearing size in the model so now there isn't enough room to add a chamfer. The design is a Universal Cutting Frame for a rose engine. Here's a photo of the mostly finished piece:

Chamfer bug

The lower two components' chamfers were modified to be 1mm using the Edit Feature functionality in the original file. The upper component fails to create the same chamfer. The lower components were created as a mirror of the upper and a copy of the mirror. In the attached file with just the problem components, Edit Feature is not available, but Press/Pull behaves the same.

Repro file is attached.

Thanks for sharing your design.

I will check it and see what I can find out.

This may takes a day since I would like to share this within the development team.

Thanks, we´ll keep you updated

Thanks again for sharing your design with me.

I have been able to reproduce the issue you have seen.

Could you may share the original Fusion 360 file with me?

I could not see any timeline nor features in the browser tree.

Just wondering if you have may imported the files from another CAD system and which file type you have imported?

I look forward hearing from you.

Thank you for your help,

Hi @etfrench,

Thanks for the update.

It seems like that the infinite small face between radius and chamfer creates the computational error.

I have create a ticket for our development team the number FUS-32214.

They will investigate further into this issue.

As A workaround for now, could you try to recreate the chamfer and select the edges manually step-by-step.

This will help the kernel to generate the solid body.

Even better would be to switch into the parametric environment where you will have more control over those features.

I hope this helps,

Thank,s

When using DM and changing a fillet or a chamfer it is always best to use the self healing trick to de-feature the fillet or chamfer, then re-add the desired size.

There is no need to switch to the timeline.
