Hi @Anonymous,

Yes, you can use that SVG in Fusion. It will be slow, though, mostly because of the way the "filled" letters are drawn, with lots and lots of lines:

Fusion will try to interpret each of those lines as a valid sketch line, which will slow down the entire system. if you can get a version of this SVG without the pseudo-fill lines, you will have a much better experience, I think.

Inserting SVG

I am trying to insert an SVG file to ultimately create a legend?

I have had a few instances of the program hanging - I am wondering if the image is too complicated/unsuitable?

I have attached it?

I did think about just creating the features on a sketch and extruding them slightly - using the circular pattern tool

but struggled to get the text aligned?

How would I go about this? It is difficult enough to centre text, but I also want to rotate it around an axis?

Thanks

Chris

Thank you for the reply, apologies but I didn't realise I had had a reply...

I created the SVG by drawing this in TurboCAD and exporting it as an SVG - so I will try and find

an outline font - I did get a progress bar when I inserted it but wasn't sure how long to wait, looked

like Fusion had hung? I can create the 'tick' marks in Fusion by using the circular pattern tool so only really

need the text.

I have tried to create the text etc in Fusion but it a very difficult to align it and rotate it hence using

TurboCAD?

Regards

Chris

I have now recreated the original TurboCAD drawing using an outline font and exported that as an SVG file,

and this worked beautifully - I imported it into a sketch and can extrude the fonts, very easy and perfectly

lined up 🙂

Chris
