Flat pattern, editable K = convert model from other cad systems?

Hi all,

the introduction of the flat pattern and the editable k factor are awesome thing absolutely needed to be sure to be ready for production.

However, Is it now possible to convert parts from other cad systems to sheet metal?

I've tried importing a step and apply the flat pattern, but it does not work.

Any advise?

Thats a not yet but it is coming, it's in the sheet metal road map

You will see that what you are asking for is included in workflow 2 at the end of the article.
