Sweep helix from coil not smooth

Why do sweeps create fragmented sections, as highlighted below.

also the sweep appear to not follow the rail/guide and "shift?"

The twist in the profile with the dimension change is a result of the sweep tools limitations The team started to work on a project this month to improve this experience. Another part of the workflow is "helix sketch", which is something that I will have the sketch team look into later this year.
