Extrude 3D spline with a taper angle

Extruding a 3D spline with a taper angle produces a face with variable taper angle:

In plan view, if the face was created at the target taper angle, I would expect the face to be tangent with a cone of the same draft angle with its tip on the spline, but this isn't the case:

How does the entered Taper Angle relate to the resultant face?

How can a face with the target taper angle be created? The Draft command doesn't seem to be functional for individual Patch faces.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

Fusion 360 does exactly the right thing.

This is a really tricky "How to design" question.

If you would like to keep a continuous draft angle of 5 degree in Z-Axis, you would have to go with multiple sketches.

Creating these sketches angle along the path and vertically aligned with the z-axis could do the trick.
