Complicated surface model

As it appears, I’m not great at hard surface modeling, but with the few questions I’ve asked here, I’ve been able to up my skills. But, I’ve hit another wall with a model, and I’m hoping that I can be helped with figuring this out.

Please confirm the dimension I asked about.

Your pics were taken flat and horizontal on a table surface - front on.

Why are they not like that in this file?

Point to point top pic outside on table dimension, is that about 158 mm or something else, without this confirmation, we will be stuck. Size is first important detail.

I’m sorry. I just got desperate. My head was spinning and nobody was answering me anymore. Well in the file, I didn’t make it flat because I wanted the front view to align with the top view(ontop of the front view, if I did otherwise, the top view would be under the front view which would affect the side views since it’s obvious that using an offset on the side views would not work since both sides are not perpendicular to the top view, so the plane of three points would be more efficient there) hence the front view seeming slanted. So if I did otherwise, the top view wouldn’t really be syncing in the real sense.

I don’t know if I need to take a video of the model itself.

also the images are all calibrated, and I’m sure I dimensioned some of the lines in traced out. Also the point to point calibration of the top image is 160mm. The front view almost same. It’s 159.2.(this is because of you take a close look at the image, one of its ends is curved, instead of a more perpendicular edge to the top) this is why the point to point calibration of the top and the front view differ by almost 1mm

Mine too. Not the simplest thing I have ever done, needs some editing.

I think I got a handle on it, will need to start over. You have dimensions, but I don't know what they refer to.

I had to recalibrate a few images to make the side heights work.

With those 3 points on the table, should be easy to measure the real thing.

I call this view Top....

And the detailed side, the left face ...

Your movie is not much help.

This is a great. Definitely what I’m looking for.
can I get the file Dave? Perhaps if and when I get the file, I can figure out what you did and go ahead putting it into the real thing and dimension it properly on my end. I just need an idea of how to go about it.

what did you mean by my movie isn’t much help? The video I sent you mean?

Usually.

I put the origin in the middle of the top sketch line at table level.

The straight line trace of the foot print is shown.

Put the bottom sketch on a Plane at Angle, and traced the bottom canvass.

I need the top of model height off the table, and the bottom outside lower heights - as close as you can get them, I know they are in 3d space.

The 2 blue flat curves are for the top inclined face top view.

Surface > Loft the imaginary floor.

Traced the actual footprint off the canvass and cut the floor with Surface > Modify > Trim.

Tracing the left canvas - extended the top line to the top sketch.

In the top right hand end of the top sketch, there's is a short flat area, and that line is continued to the left sketch. Loft this line to the back curved top line in bottom sketch.

Trim this part of the top face with the rear curve in table sketch.

Part 2 to follow, gets a little complicated.

The top sketch has a small curved face line. I did a new sketch, using the side curve to get the left end of the top profile to align. Loft from it to the inclined line in the side sketch, with the top face curve as centre line rail.

Then a new Loft from the long black curve to the bottom curved edge of the previous body. Hide the inclined body.

Loft from bottom face curve to top face curve, and tangent both selections.

Stitch the 3 bodies together. Then with the top fillet outline curve, trim this body.

You now have the dummy floor and the top faces, to create the wall sections

I used 6 wall profiles in 3 lofts to save Fusion getting to confused.

Created the side walls with top and bottom body edges for rails. All 4 sections thickened to 2 mm, and 2 of the sections did combine with top plate, but the back one fails.

As none of my dimensions would be suitable for you, using your dimensions where you can. As said, I ended up manipulating the canvasses to get this close so they are no longer original either.

Honestly this is great, and really complicated. It’s not really syncing in at the moment. But perhaps you can export you’re file to me. It would be a lot of help. I’d appreciate it

@TrippyLighting @wersy @laughingcreek can I get some insight on this? @davebYYPCU has been lots of help but I wasn’t able to get my hands on the file which has posed as a hindrance towards getting this done and as far as explanations go, I have been able to get this up to some point, but I think Dave is out of town since he has responded to me for some time now, so if you lot could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

here is what I have done so far don't even know what I am doing anymore. @davebYYPCU
