Trying to understand how to make dynamically sized legs on little welding cart. The cart has shelf that is at an angle, currently 15 deg from the base.

What I would like to be able to do is have parameter for the angle of the shelf and height of the legs so that when I change angle it will shorten/lengthen the front legs and cut angle for the joint correctly and if I change leg height of back legs (short ones) it raises shelf up and increases front leg height. How can I do this?

I tried to download and open your design, but it causes fusion to crash. I don't think it's a problem with you rfile as I had the same thing happen on a different machine when I tried to download a different design.

could you post a screen shot?

thanks for trying. I rethought my approach and redid the design and got it working. I've attached new version. I changed to sketch on different plane and then constrained properly to create the components correctly when I change parameters.

I would still like to be able to move a component based on a parameter but not sure you can in fusion.

What do you want to move where and what do you want to happen if it moves ?

In short, yes that can be done but the details depend on you answer.

In the move dialog, enter a parameter instead of value. Like other parametric settings, then move to new position as value changes. For example, set parm angle=15 deg. Move component by rotating and put angle in dialog box. Later change angle to 30 degrees and it affects original move.
