Apologies for dropping off! Work, vacation, etc.

For the parts going missing or moving, I finally found deep in one of the parts, a component that had been removed needed updating. fixing that took care of some of those really weird issues.

for the joints not functioning properly I ended up having to remove the joins from the sub-assemblies. Some of them worked and some of them didn't without any apparent cause, but once I removed them and then reapplied them in the larger assembly I was okay. Kind of a weird work-around that feels like it's not the way it should have to work.. and that foot issued persisted, I just have to rotate the join a bit and back to 0 and it reseats properly. just the left foot though even though both feet are sourcing the same foot sub-assembly file.. 😕

I love F360, it's really powerful... but man is it buggy at times...

In my current project I've got a file that's simply an assembly file. it has a lot of parts and a lot of joins. Right now I'm getting an error warning telling me:

Warning: This design contains Removed components which did not update. To complete the update, roll the history marker to before the earliest Remove feature and click the Get All Latest button

1 Component is still out of date.
Please run the Get All Latest command again.

so I've gone into every part and rolled all through the timelines and no errors, nothing to update.. it would be REALLY nice if F360 told you what component is out of date.. it's kinda stupid that when you click "more info" in the error pop up you get the exact same message as what was in the pop up.. there's zero "more info" there.... Give me a clue where to look F360! When I right click on the highest level item in the browser there isn't any "get latest" option available or warning triangle, nor do any of the parts have the warning triangle, or any of the sub parts within those assemblies when I explode everything in the browser. I can hit the warning triangle that's part of the top chrome but after it does it's thing it just repeats the error warning above.

Also, the joins keep getting screwed up. For example, 2 parts will be joined with rotation but they get displayed WAAAY offset from each other. Then if I edit the rotation then they snap back together. Or other times I'll have a rigid join and one of the parts will be frozen in space unable to move, but the other part moves away as if there isn't any join but the join icon is there floating in space where it should be. Sometimes the material appearance decides to just go back to being the default and sometimes parts in a sub-assembly will decide to just turn off and I have to explode them in the browser to turn them back on again.. it's super frustrating when I'm trying to pose an action figure with a ton of parts for renders for product shots 😞

In this shot you can see my "pose file". I've brought in the fully assembled model and posed it but there are some parts that are frozen in place. They aren't staying joined (ridged) to the parts they are supposed to and are instead ridged to their place in space.. how do I even fix this?? those green armor parts should be attached to the forearms and the gray thigh armor parts are stuck now cutting through the legs

It would help if you posted the file since it a asembley you will need to get it from your A360 account

To share assemblies you can insert a public link with your next post.

Find you design in the data panel in Fusion 360, select it and right click on it. Select "Share public link" and enable download. This will allow us to look at the assembly.

You could also invite other users per email to the project and un-invite when the problem is solved.

If you are not comfortable sharing here on the Forum you can send us the private link per PM.
