This will not activate or de-activate anything but you can navigate the Browser easier by right clicking on the scroll bar, when the Browser is long, and use the control offered.

Hi everyone.

First of all, i understand how to activate/deactivate components but i as wondering if there is any shortcut to deactivate a containing component? To do this "deactivate" action i need to activate the top level/root component, i know. The annoying part of this is the need to scroll everything up (on the left browser) to click and activate it. Do Fusion has any kind of shortcut to activate the top root component?

When we have a lot of components, navigating in the browser becomes annoying because it requires a lot of scroll up and down to activate between containing and root level components.

I think Fusion should have a shortcut to activate the root level component or maybe just fix it in the top of the browser, so it would be always visible regardless of the scroll up and down. Please, we need a simple fix for this!

I agree that a better way to navigate the browser is needed. I operate other CAD systems which have very fast solutions for this that don't require a lot of clicking.

Thanks! Didn't know that and it's going to be useful. Someway, it's a workaround for what we really need. Not the best, but it will helps.

By the way, i'm using an an Wacom intuos S (instead of a traditional mouse) and when i press the right clicking on the browser scroll bar, the menu you show in the image doesn't appear. But if i do left click + option key (mac OS) on the scroll bar, then it goes full up or down.

Hi,

Not sure if I should open a new thread cause the title is exactly what I am looking for, yet the accepted solution is not...

I constantly whish that I could with one shortcut activate the root Component, because I have the option of dimmed unactive component, so that it's clear what I am editing, and also it helps with complex assembly visuals.

so, is there indeed a shortcut or a way to have this option to select the root component without manually do it with the mouse?

Thanks,

Jean

I do often ask users to do this as well, but in this case I am wondering what this would accomplish.
There is no other shortcut to activate the root component I am aware of, and if I am wrong, this would be the right thread to add it.
