ther are several ways to do this.

This litte screencast shown one of them by combining / cutting the instrument from another body.

Now you can work on the mould: reduce it in volume by cutting wavious shapes out of it or whatever you like. unlimited options.

http://autode.sk/2xJh5o6

Best,

Stefan

PS:You can do more advanced surface handling in the patch environment.

Hello All,

I am trying to make a frame to panel mount an instrument which has not been designed to be panel mounted. Two edges are curved down from the face and there is a raised section and has buttons protruding. (The instrument is an automotive electric water pump fan controller from a well known manufacturer and was designed to be stuck on to a surface with Velcro)

I have constructed my first 3d component/body (I don't know the difference) to simulate the surface of the instrument, I now need to use this shape as a template (construction) to come up from to construct my actual framework features with various nooks and crannies and supports

How do I do this?

Thanks
