Here's the file. It's a header connector for a PCB. I got it from the manufacturer's website (Molex). Hope this helps in any way and thanks again for the feedback.

I have imported a step file that I would like to make some edits on (move holes, extend posts, trim items) but, nothing is working. Am I missing something when Importing or am I missing something when editing. Thanks

One important thing to note: imported models, such as STEP, are "direct models". Meaning: you can edit them, but the tools are slightly different than in a parametric/history-based design. So, for instance, to move a hole, there is no Hole feature to edit, no timeline. So, you have to use the Move tool to move the faces of the hole.

If this is not clear, we can record a screencast to illustrate.

Thanks Jeff. After fumbling and experimenting around I found that the reason I couldn't modify anything was that the part was "linked" and only after I broke the "link" the editing worked as I've seen in all the tutorial videos I watched. Why was this particular STEP file brought in "linked" where as others were not?

Interesting. I've not seen that before. Was it just a single STEP file? Perhaps there are some kinds of STEP files that do specify multiple levels of design with links. I have to admit that I am not that familiar with what can go into a STEP design. Would you be willing to share the STEP file with me? Either posting it here or you can put it in Drive/Box, etc and send me a link to it via Private Message. Or, we can figure out some other way to get me the file

Jeff

Works for me. Breaking the link let me edit my step-files. So thanks for sharing.
