Moving objects

My project will have three pieces. After designing the first piece, I realized perhaps I was supposed design it in a component space instead. Is there a way "move" or "copy/paste" the piece into a component space? There is a screenshot of my project in the attachment.

(This is my first project.)

You can copy an existing body into a component. See screencast (might take a few minutes for it to process after I uploaded it) and hope that helps.

Hi,

I wouldn't call it a component workspace actually, it's more like a small browser inside of a big browser, with it's own origin, sketches, bodies, etc ...

So you can simply right click the top of the browser and create a new empty component, then hold-drag the body to the component ( all this happens inside of the browser )

or if you want you can also copy the body and then activate the component from the browser then click paste

You should probably review Fusion 360 R.U.L.E #1.

Read the entire thread and view @Aaron.Magnin's great little vid on how to put a body into a component in case you forgot to apply the rule 😉
