Hello,

When I do a local render, a section of my part leaves a yellow-and-black checkered pattern (see red circle). Why is this happening?

Update: It appears to be a problem with the imported stepper motor component. I CAN do an in-canvas render, but not a local one. When I try doing a local render of just the stepper motor, it says that

"the current design contains imported materials, which are not supported for local rendering at this time"

Additionally, it lists names of different materials in a different language. A solution seems to be to re-do all of the materials and appearance assignments again.

1. I'd think Fusion would be smart enough that it can render the same material, even if it its name is in a different language?

2. Why does In-canvas render still work, but local render not work?

Hey @Anonymous,

Over the past year, we have been working on unifying the experiences between our In Canvas renderer, our Local renderer and our Cloud renderer, but what you are experiencing is one of the last seams between the different options. From a high level, there are different technologies used to create materials/appearances in rendering softwares, and currently our local renderer does not support one type of material which was used to create your stepper motor. Our team is currently working on allowing our local renderer to handle these types of materials as well, but in the meantime you will have to use In Canvas renders and cCoud renders to render the stepper motor. Alternatively, you can simply change the appearances on the motor to appearances offered in Fusion, and that should take care of the issue as well.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Lucas
