Looking at your file and based on the sketches I am wondering what you expect for the end result look like.

If you want flat faces, the sketch lines will not line up with them.

Hi Everyone, I'm trying to remove the material that is highlighted in blue. I have attached the file. I tried a few different things...but no luck.

Some help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you kindly.

Peter

It looks like you have two parallel lines on the top and bottom of the part that would form the plane that you want to cut out of the piece. I would make a construction plane across those two edges (by selectiong the construction drop down menu -> Plane through two edges, and selecting the two lines). Then, modify -> split body and use the plane as the cutting tool. After that, remove the remaining unwanted body. Edit: Upon closer inspection, it seems that the geometry you're trying to create is a little more complex than I first thought. To use the method I proposed, you may have to make several planes and several cuts.

Is this the type of thing your after? what ever approach you take you'll need to fix the line in sketch 7 to be coincident to the end of the line in sketch 1. and like everybody else is saying, those faces aren't going to be flat. they're potato chipped.

Thanks for all of the great feed back everyone! This was data that was supplied by one of my associates and as I was drawing it up I realized that this may not work exactly as planned.

Still learning everyday and loving Fusion 360!! Have a great weekend!

Peter
