a You should not use the align function to position that LED but a joint rom the Assemble menu. You can create joints between sketch entities and components. Add a joint origin to the LED.

Hi, I have this sketch where 3 circles are evenly distributed on the big circle's circumference. The 3 small circles are interconnected by several lines generating a point symmetry sketch.
Now I want to align the middle points of these circles with the radius axis of a component that is also circleshaped. The middlepoints of the big circle and the component are coincident.

Any recommendations on that problem?

Thanks and regards

Hannes

Hi, that is a good idea, but it is intended not to put the LED and the circle at one point. I want to place the middlepoint of the circle on the radius-axis that goes through the middlepoint of the LED.

Also after I tried this, only the LED moved and not the whole PCB component where the LED is attached to.

Ok, I think I found a solution. I created an offset plane on top of the LED and made an X and aligned the other sketch with this intersection.

You can make the LED's component a rigid group which will make it move with the current joint created on the LED. You may need to use two revolute joints to align the component and the sketch. One to center the component and the other to set the rotation. You can also use the Drive Joint command to rotate the component.

Well ... that's what I thought.

Before continuing you should review the difference between a component and a body in Fusion 360.
