    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hy community I need some help.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My plan is to design a lock with a elastic "band", more or less in shape of a eight, to 3D print it with elastic material.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The problem is, it is not a flat face where i need it to bee, but want to print it flat. I hope you understand my problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Now I would like to know how could I "flaten" my object after designing it in the right shape, like unfold a sheetmetal.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you for the help&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Sheet metal is actually the prevailing answer to this question.&amp;nbsp; It's a work around, but does the job.&amp;nbsp;There are lots of threads on this forum about using sheet metal to wrap or unwrap things.&amp;nbsp; here is a link to a post with lots of good stuff, a quick search will yield even more-&lt;/P&gt;
