The only problem is that with the last split that I needed to complete the last body changed into something I've not experienced before. I've included some photos to help diagnose the problem.

It looks like your trying to split a surface. Are you in the Model workspace or Patch workspace?

If you are in Model, try switching to patch and then try again...

Thank you Paul for replying to my post so quickly.

At first, I was working in the model workspace but I have tried your solution of switching to the Patch workspace but it still comes up with the same error message of no intersection between target(s) and split tool. Thank you for your advice but if you have any other ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Alexander

Please post/share your model. It is difficult to provide help without data.
In general, problem's are to be expected when trying to work with such tessellated data.

As I have already mentioned, trying to modify such a heavily tessellated model with CAD software is not really a good idea.

I am able to split that body in your screenshot, but I am wondering whether you have noticed that this is not a solid body but an open surface body.

You won't be able to 3D print a surface body.

The reason this converted into an open surface was that the mesh does not fully enclose a volume. YOu'd have to find that hole/gap and close it manually in the Patch workspace.

Sorry for taking so long to reply but I've tried your solutions but the file is still not printable as it is a surface and some of the faces are intersecting.

I have attached the split file if anyone is willing to try and resolve this problem.

thank you in advance,

Alexander
