Ripples in Shelled Form

Hello,

This is my first time posting on this board, although I have found a lot of helpful information here for other issues! Thank you to the Fusion360 pros out there!

So I have an issue with a form that I have shelled, where ripples have appeared in the shelled form. I have shelled this part (a bicycle saddle) to 1mm thickness, and in a certain region these ripples have appeared:

I did not get an error during shelling. Note that the right region is ripple free. Also I am using the Mac version of Fusion360. I would greatly appreciate any help here as to what might be causing this and how I can resolve it! Thanks!!

Welcome to the Fusion forum. Can you post your design here, so we can take a look at it? How was this created? Is this a Sculpt body, or was this created with a solid loft, patch, or something else?

I created this using the sculpt environment, so it is a sculpt body.

Thanks for the model, @Anonymous,

I was able to get pretty good results using a couple of TSpline techniques. First: Use Box Mode. This shows you the underlying scaffolding that is used for the TSpline body. If you see lots of jagged edges in box mode, that's usually a sign of "tension" in your model. So, the first thing is to smooth those out using Edit Form. Second, I think this body has too many TSpline edges in it. I got good results deleting some of those edges. In general, you should use as few as possible to get the shape you are after.
