Hi @Anonymous, you can't really change Split Faces - it will cut all the way through. But, you can change which part of the path you create the pipe on (or Sweep if you want your own profile):

Hello,

I am trying to model slot using sweep cut. The easiest way to me would be to draw a sketch L- shape path and corner radius and wrap it on a cylinder. I have attached drawing of the detail I am trying to achieve. Any suggestions on how to do that?

Thanks

Marek

I've tagged this to see if the mods can move it to the Design subforum, as this is the CAM subforum and while plenty of folks hanging around here can probably help you actually machine this feature, modeling it is going to be more the purview of the folks over at Design for sure.

Hi @Anonymous, there are probably lots of ways to do this, depending on what you want the result to look like. Here is one way to do this:

Hope it helps,

Jeff

Jeff,

Thanks for your hint. Can you modify split face to make a path only at the front (visible) side of the cylinder?
