Hi All,

I am realitively knew to Fusion and I am trying to make a nozzle shape which has a slight 3 degree on it , towards the base of the cone.

If you look at the cone straight on the word 'top' would be at the centre or 12 oclock, 90 degrees to the left would be a 3 degree curve on the side, concave. 90 degrees to the right of Top would be a 3 degree convex curve.

Not sure how best to approach this and what would be suitalbe to achive this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

IAn

Any helkp

A 3 degree convex curve does not make a lot of sense. I am guessing this is a convex cut into the two sides. If so, what is the depth and the diameter of the convex cut. Also, does the convex cut go completely across the part or stop part way through. Maybe a hand sketch of what you want will help define your desire.

Not sure how to measure 3 degrees on a curve.

Create a midplane sketch, calculate the correct circle diametre.

set by dimension how far to slide this circle to the right.

Loft the 3 circles for Fusion to provide the curved shape.

Fully defined 2d sketches will provide consistent results.

Blue, Orange and White sketch articles should keep you awake at night.

Might help...

Does the screen capture show what you are shooting for? If so, then the dimensions asked for earlier are still needed. Use the model attached to see the dimensions I used to get an idea what is needed.

Hi John,

Thanks for your reply, my apologies I don't think I explained it very well. What I am trying to do i ssomething like Dave's reply below.

I will need to play with the midplane and move it up and down accordingly, I think I can achieve what am I trying to do this way, just need to get the curve right.

Thanks again

Ian
