It seems like if I move, select the bodies to move F360 picks what appears to me anyhow as a random pivot point based on...well I don't know what. But I can use the arrows to move.

If I check set pivot, I drag the arrows, the numbers change in the Move/Copy box, but nothing moves.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Set pivot is used to change the pivot point, or where the body, etc. is anchored during the move operation. When you select the button it changes to a green check mark and is highlighted blue.

After you select your pivot point you must check it again and it will change back to the origin marker and no longer be blue.

Then you should be able to move.
