Hi,

I am new to Fusion 360 .Iam tring to design a car tire and i hanve to admit this is a great tool. The problem is that whenever i select the edges and reduce the cicumference of one side of the cylinder the whole body undergoes changes to give me a conical look ,but that's not what i want .i want the edge to trace a face whenever i reduce the circumference .

iam i missing some sort of key or commmand here ?

can someone please help me out?

You want the edge to "trace a face?" What does "trace a face" mean?

I believe what you're looking for is the alt key

When you edit the form, if you want to add a face when you make your move, you need to move while holding the alt key, so that a new face or faces according to your selection is added and that will prevent the whole body to be affected
