Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know if there is a way to create iParts (from Inventor) in Fusion 360? If any of you have Creo experience, family tables.

Basically, I am making a square tubing frame. All the parts are the same width and thickness but they are different lengths. I am trying to figure out if it can be done easily in Fusion without creating all new bodies / components.

Thanks,

David

Nope!

In other CAD systems (Solid Works, Alibre Design, ZW3D, OnShape and others) this is called :"Configurations" and is not available in Fusion 360.

There isn't a good way to incorporate the "family members" into a single file (automatically anyway). What you can do, though, is auto-generate the files themselves and then use them as a library.

Check out:

https://github.com/hanskellner/Fusion360ParaParam

The export to Fusion function here will save a boatload of F3D files that you can bulk upload into a folder and then use it as a library.
