Project each plane to the sketch (Select all of the planes in one selection).

Trim or extend each projection to the spline. This will give you the intersection points for each plane.

Project the end point only of each of those to the sketch on their respective planes.

Even easier is to simply Project Intersect the spline to your existing sketches on the other planes. Check the Projection Link box and the point will be easily recognized:

How to intersect a line with multiple planes?

I have a model with multiple parallel planes and a line (curve) that runs perpendicular to all these planes. I want to create points where this line intersects with all these planes. I can do it one by one by creating individual sketch and using the Intersect function, but is there a way to select all planes and create points in one go?

Hi,

Are you able to attach your file for us to have a look at? I am not quite sure what you are trying to achieve.

Cheers

Andrew

Here's an example. I want to place points where the curved line intersects planes 1,2,3,4 and I want to do it in one go.

Instead of planes, simply draw lines with dimensions in the same sketch as the spline.

You can either add points at the intersections or simply trim the lines depending on how you will use the points.

If, for some reason, you actually need the planes, then use the Plane at Angle command to create them.

You can also move the sketch in the Timeline to be later than the planes, then project the planes to the sketch:

Close, but not quite. I have sketches on these new planes that need to snap to the intersection points. If I use this method, I see all points on the line, not just the intersection point and it's difficult to tell which one is the intersection point.

In my real world model, I have over 15 planes and dozens of points so I'm trying to make the process more efficient.
