User Parameter dont evaluate

Hello Everybody,

I have some troubles with user Parameters:

When i'd like to fit a new feature to an old one, i'd like to use the parameters from the old one as an expression for the new one, but i constantly get a error saying 'units dont evaluate'. every unit i'm using is millimeters.

every single parameter by itself works as well. But if combined, they do not.

how can i resolve this???

Ahhh, Simple solution:

When working with equations and parameters, make sure the results checks out.

the Dimensions have to be right: even 'dimensionless' parameters (=the number of spiral revolutes, for example) may add dimensions into the equation, meaning that its not only a factor, but also a length. so make sure that the final result can be given out as a length.

(Length+Revolutions*Width)/Depth becomes (mm + mm*mm)/mm.

this can only be solved if 'Length' is Multiplied with '1mm'.

(mm*1mm + mm*mm)/mm checks out again.
