topic Stuck on converting solid bodie in Fusion Design, Validate & Document Forum

Hello,

I've imported a .stp file of a steppermotor but I can't seem to make a new drawing of this design. It states "Warning: The design contains neither solid bodies nor sketches. A drawing cannot be created.". After looking up some topics I've tried to patch the whole thing, which makes the whole design weird and doesn't solve the issue. The .stp file is included in the attachment, hopefully someone can help me out. I am new to fusion.

Thanks in advance!

You'd have to close all the holes and patch all of these surface bodies individually.

If you are brand new to Fusion 360 and don;t need exactly this stepper model I'd suggest you try with a different model that was not dumbed down by the manufacturer quite as badly as this.

Thank you for your reply. So there is no way to get this raw piece of design into a drawing so I can print this?

The first sentence of my first reply describes what would have to be done.

I simply think for someone new to Fusion 360 this would not be an advisable thing to do. You have to learn to walk, before you can run.
