That just means its converged already and didn't require 10 steps.

When it comes to adaptive mesh refinement, it will only solve as many times as it takes to hit your convergence goal.

Hello All,

I have check online documents from Autodesk, and watch Tutorials, but each time I got stock in a new thing and I am still in the same problem to get the convergence plot right, I want to get 10 steps out of it, but it is showing me 2 steps, and on a not refined mesh it shows 3 steps.

Please help so I can understand where the problem is.

Thanks

If you just want a simulation with 10 load steps, you will need to run the non-linear simulation in fusion 360.

Thank you!

You are right!

But I am not sure if the material I am using is suitable for none-linear setting, its Titanium. and as a beginner I am still not sure whether or not to use none-linear.

Typically non-linear simulations are used when you have stresses above yield strength or large deflections.

It will not hurt your simulation if you run it as a non-linear when it doesn't need to be, but it will give you bad results if you run it as linear when it's not. So when in doubt, use non-linear. It's just a much more time consuming process that requires a little more user knowledge.

If you want to work with a non-linear material as well, choose your material from the non-linear material library.
