How to taper hole bottom

I've got a simple block with an oval hole that doesn't go quite all the way through. At the bottom of the oval hole is a round hole that's a drain hole. The bottom of the oval hole is currently flat - that face is selected and blue in the screenshot. I'd like to taper this bottom face toward the drain hole. How can I do that?

That's a big help, thank you! I followed along and was able to do add the taper. I have a couple questions. What's the purpose of the stitch command at the end? Also, in the taper there is a line, is there a way to get rid of it?

Watch the bodies folder when advancing the timeline marker past the stitch feature. Stitching "sews" surface bodies together. If they form a closed volume this will create a solid model.

No, you cannot eliminate the line, but that line is not a problem. It simply indicates the start and end of the NURBS patch, which is created by the loft command.
