Text on face

Hi,

I am working on a model that has a wooden surface that will have text printed on it when being manufactured. What is the best way to achieve this? I have tried the following workflow but it is very tedious as there is a good bit of text i need to add and was thinking i must be missing an easier way to do it:

Use the text tool to place text on component face -> Extrude the text as a new component by a small distance -> Then to change the colour of the text i need to select the body of each single text character and go into the Appearance settings

Is it possible to change the Text tool font colour. Also, would this appear in renders as it is just a sketch?

Hello @ronanJ9MBL

You can window select the bodies or components , so each time you don't need to select the bodies or components . see the screencast .

No , I don't think so you can change the Text tool font colour .

( Also, would this appear in renders as it is just a sketch? )

- No . Sketch will not be appear in render .

Great... thanks for the tip. It a shame there is no way of just typing text directly onto a surface for situations like this though without having to do a extrude.
