UI is awful

The first thing I noticed when I started with Fusion360 that UI differs from other CAD programs. But it's only a half of problem.
It's a pain to learn it. It's absulutely unintuitive.
Most of the time I don't understand what the program wants from me. There are no any warnings or hints just passive gray buttons. As a result I had to use my past SolidWorks/Inventor/ProE experience. But it doesn't work that causes more frustration.
Commands are combined in a odd way. Some commands have duplicates. Some does what's not expected. Some are missing.
UI components are too small but take too much space at the same time. I'm forced to lean against my monitor.

Also Fusion360 lacks multi monitor support. Most desginers/engineers use several monitors as it's convinient and it improves productivity up to 30-40%.
I tried your getting started tutorials but it makes things even worse. This is not how it is taught in universities.
There are common paradigmas such as bottom-up, top-down design and parametric design. But everything is mixed up like your UI. I thing it was a big mistake to combine parts and assemblies within the same workspace.

However I like ideas like different workspaces and floating toolbars.

I attend this webinar with curiosity of what is solidworks is ?

, what is differences and bridges between fusion 360(which i like) and solidwork ? and i find this webinar is usuful . B) Fusion 360 adobt simplicity ui over overwhelming ui ( somthing like gigantic 3ds max ) , the performance comes first as fusion is device independent . c) in addition to Mr . D)My personal preference and advice is "when you want to learn somthing try to find out how this software thinkinking ? don't push yourself to search for other software command in fusion , instead try to figure out the wise to accomplish somthing with fusion .

You can always move UI or just close it. Or just not use Fusion 360 at all. 🙂

If you think everyone has trouble with the UI, they don't. Here's a few examples.

Learning Fusion360 is a journey where you need to force yourself to fall in love with it, because it's not going to change for you. Every time you find anything that annoys you, slap yourself in the face to remind you that you're not in the right frame of mind. *Learn* it, instead of fighting it.

It is worth it - the power is insane when you've spent the time to understand how it works (and how it quirks).

Just because many users have become experts and created amazing complex objects with this software does not in any way meam that it is great software with a great UI. It just means it's capable of great results. This is just my opinion a successful sofware UI designer

I happen to also be quite successful designing software as well as learning how to use Fusion 360. It's not easy to learn any parametric 3d modeling software. There are many resources available for learning Fusion 360. I suggest you research them.

If you have specific issues with the UI, i'm sure Autodesk would be happy to hear them. If someone told you your software design sucked, but didn't tell you how, could you fix it?
