The thread's groove is 2.4mm and square with a 2.25mm land if this makes sense. I'll insert a photo. Trying to reproduce this thread to use in a project. It also has a hard stop in it so the thread doesn't continue from top to bottom like a nut. It starts at the bottom and has a stop. It will be going on this file.

Hi,

I think the best way to create this feature would be with a coil to start.

Then use the Pipe command to create the thread.

and then when you have the proportions correct and the pipe trimmed then simply do a combine cut into the round

part of the model to create the thread.

Should be fairly straight forward.

Cheers

Andrew

Start with a coil ( you may need to create an offset plane). Adjust the outside diameter of the coil to the desired diameter. You may need to Press/Pull one of the flanks of the coil to get the correct spacing between each thread.

Extrude a ring down to the second wrap of the coil.

Combine/Cut the coil from the ring keeping the tools.

Use the Split Body command to remove the excess of the ring.

Use the Split Body command to remove the lower excess of the coil.

You can either combine all of the bodies before printing or just 3dPrint the entire file.

So, if i wanted to take my original rendering and make the body that the threads are on 15.5mm extrusion and still have those threads work, is that easy to change via the timeline? The thread depth is 1.35mm which i figured out how to change from the 2.178 that they were. I need to learn more in fusion lol
