I need the scanned objects in order to model a monocoque around it.
So, I just have the dampers on one side, but need them mirrored to the other side. There I have to model the correct suspensions on the monocoque.

I don't want to work with the mesh, but rather use it as reference.

I have got several scanned meshes, that I have to mirror.
The tutorials and forum entries show a menue point, that I am missing: "Mesh to BRep".

As far as I learned, converting to BRep only works for meshes with less than 10.000 faces.
So I reduced the mesh to 9.999 faces, but still no possibility to convert or to mirror.

What would you want to do with the end result ?
Working with triangulated meshes in a CAD application is not the best idea.

In that case I'd mirror the needed mesh objects in Autodesk Meshmixer ( maybe that can also be done in the Mesh environment n Fusion 360. Not sure) and then re-import the mesh int Fusion 360.

Converting a mesh into a BRep makes for a very heavy model and having more than one model like that in a design can cause performance problems. That is the reason for the 10k/20k conversion limit.

Just use the mesh as a visual reference.

Thanks for the advice.
I will not going to mirror the scanned meshes, but rather use them as reference: build the constraints from the mesh as a clean model, delete the mesh and then mirror the clean model. I think this is a better procedure by just using the scanned mesh as reference only.

And you are right by keeping the filesize small!
